ABOUT THIS CONCERT

One of the most celebrated violinists of all time performs one of the greatest concertos ever composed when Midori joins the Houston Symphony for Beethoven’s beloved Violin Concerto. Plus, the Symphony performs Gabriela Lena Frank’s Elegía Andina and Kevin Day’s Lightspeed. Join us for socially distanced performances at Jones Hall, or watch the Saturday evening livestream from home.

Before the concert: Musical Ambassador Carlos Andrés Botero hosts Prelude discussion live on Zoom. Ticket holders get a link to learn more about the musicians and the night’s repertoire.
