The Development Officer serves as a key fundraiser on the Development team, working to identify individuals with the potential to make meaningful gifts to the Houston Symphony and demonstrating donor-centric moves management through the fundraising cycle.
Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving & Membership, the Development Associate, Annual Giving provides essential administrative and operational support to the Annual Giving team, helping to advance the Houston Symphony’s contributed revenue goals across its Membership, Young Associates Council, and Circles programs.
The Director of Orchestra Personnel oversees all administrative and operational aspects of the Houston Symphony’s orchestra personnel function.
The Stage Manager provides essential support to the Director of Concert Operations and the Operations team, performing assigned concert operations activities and proactively maintaining a safe and friendly backstage environment.

Audition Application – Resumé FormThe Houston Symphony has a 52-week season which includes 9 weeks of paid vacation with a minimum annual salary of $113, 360 for the 2025-26 contract year for all permanent musicians. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, instrument insurance, disability insurance, and pension contributions to the AFM-EPF.com
Successful candidates from the Houston Symphony substitute and extra musician auditions will be placed on the substitute pool list for possible engagement with the orchestra as needed. Substitute and extra musicians are engaged on per-service basis at the rate of $218.00, as of October 5, 2025.

All singers who wish to be considered for placement in the chorus will participate in a five-part audition, including vocalization, an intonation exercise, sight-reading, and a choral component.
