The Education and Community Engagement Assistant works with the Education Manager to facilitate all aspects of communication and logistics, to ensure a seamless experience for educators and students.
Provide superior, personalized service and a positive experience that exceeds customer expectations. Process subscriptions, single-ticket orders, exchanges, and all related transactions accurately, including information requests and ticket mailing.
Reporting to the Director, Special Events, this position implements event management details for the Symphony’s major galas, general cultivation, and donor events.
The Stage Manager provides essential support to the Director of Concert Operations and the Operations team, performing assigned concert operations activities and proactively maintaining a safe and friendly backstage environment.

Audition Application – Resumé FormThe Houston Symphony has a 52-week season which includes 9 weeks of paid vacation with a minimum annual salary of $113, 360 for the 2025-26 contract year for all permanent musicians. Successful candidates from the Houston Symphony substitute and extra musician auditions will be placed on the substitute pool list for possible engagement with the orchestra as needed. Substitute and extra musicians are engaged on per-service basis at the rate of $218.00, as of October 5, 2025.

All singers who wish to be considered for placement in the chorus will participate in a five-part audition, including vocalization, an intonation exercise, sight-reading, and a choral component.
