ABOUT THIS CONCERT
Batter up! Put on your baseball cap and root, root, root for your hometown orchestra – we’re gearing up for Spring Training with this fun program inspired by America’s favorite pastime! A star slugger swings for the fences in a musical narration of the humorous poem Casey at the Bat. And, show your Texas pride as you sing and clap along to “Deep in the Heart of Texas” during a special Seventh Inning Stretch!
Children of all ages, including infants, are welcome at Family Series performances. All patrons must have a ticket when entering the concert venue. Lap children are welcome for free. For lap child tickets, please contact our Patron Services Center at 713.224.7575, 12 noon–6 p.m., Monday–Saturday.
Please note: All concerts scheduled for this weekend are taking place as planned. Houston First has tested the water at Jones Hall and will proceed with food service as usual.
Family Concert Activities
Families can enjoy a craft station and other musical activities, like our Instrument Petting Zoo, in the Jones Hall lobby! Enjoy the Instrument Petting Zoo and be sure to say hi to the Houston Astros’ Shooting Stars, too. Activities take place from 9 to 9:50 a.m. before the 10 a.m. concert, and from 12:30 to 1 p.m. after the 11:30 a.m. concert.
Plan Ahead: Rodeo Houston Parade Routes
On the morning of February 29, the Downtown Rodeo Parade affects routes to Jones Hall. Availability in some Symphony parking options may be impacted as well. Plan ahead by checking a map of the parade activities and directions to avoid closures. More info
