One of the greatest composers in history meets one of the most heralded musical voices of today in an evening of music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and “Brooklyn’s post-millennial Mozart,” Missy Mazzoli. Taking its cue from Milton’s Paradise Lost, Mazzoli’s soaring concerto for bass (Dark with Excessive Bright) spins Baroque idioms into a hypnotic fusion of styles and sounds as Robin Kesselman, principal bass, takes center stage. Mozart’s grand and elegant Symphony No. 38, Prague, concludes this livestream event.
