We are excited to announce the Houston Symphony’s 2020 Wine Dinner and Collector’s Auction. This oenophile’s celebration presents the traditional extensive auction and gourmet dinner on Friday, January 31, 2020.
The night includes:
- Dom Pérignon Champagne reception
- Extensive Collector’s Auction where you may find your favorite vintage, rare, and exceptional wines, spirits, and related experiences
- A seated, multi-course dinner with wines thoughtfully chosen by Lindy and John Rydman of Spec’s Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods
- A chance to win an illustrious case of 100-point wines, rated 100 points by Robert Parker
This exclusive annual gala supports the Houston Symphony’s industry-leading Education and Community Engagement initiatives, at Jones Hall and in schools, hospitals and other venues throughout the city. These activities serve more than 181,000 Houstonians from all walks of life, including 114,000 children, each year.
All underwriter benefits include place card service, prominent seating, valet parking, invitation to the Underwriter Event, recognition in press materials, InTune magazine, and event related materials as print deadlines permit.

Every year, the event begins with a reception for guests to sip wine and champagne, explore a variety of outstanding wines and wine-related items in the extensive silent auction, and participate in the ever-popular raffle to win 12 bottles of 100-point wine. Best of all, every dollar raised through the auction supports the Symphony’s nationally-recognized Education and Community Engagement initiatives that serve more than 181,000 Houstonians, including 114,000 children, each year.
All bidding will be done electronically through your mobile device. An online auction catalog will be available to view 1-2 weeks prior to the event.

Parking: Complimentary valet is a benefit to all table and ticket buyers. We encourage our patrons to consider Uber or Lyft for transportation needs for the evening. There is a dedicated ride-share drop-off and pick-up point.
Arrival and Registration: Upon your arrival, please follow the signs to the check-in area to receive your table number, auction catalog, and activate your bidder number. A credit card number is required to activate your bidder number.
