ABOUT THIS CONCERT

It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing! Inspired by The Cotton Club and The Savoy—legendary nightspots of the Harlem Renaissance that showcased luminaries like Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong—Byron Stripling hosts an evening of iconic jazz standards that have got that swing: “It Don’t Mean a Thing,” “Our Love is Here to Stay,” “I Got Rhythm,” “St. Louis Blues,” and so many more!

What to Expect:

  • Travel through time, back to the smoke-filled speakeasies, glamorous nightclubs, and swingin’ dance halls of the Jazz Age and Swing Era
  • Guest artists channel your favorite jazz legends, from the pitch-perfect voice of Ella Fitzgerald to the hi-de-ho swagger of Cab Calloway. There’s even a tap dancer!
  • Dress in your sharpest vintage attire as we bring the vivacious spirit of the 1920s–40s to life
