Bach & Vivaldi’s Four Seasons

About This Concert

Bach & Vivaldi’s Four Seasons will be performed live in Houston April 22–25, 2027 with the Houston Symphony at Jones Hall.

One of the most instantly recognizable, enduringly popular works in all of music, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons vividly depicts the sights and sounds of each season, from the cheerful birdsongs and flowering meadows of Spring to Fall’s bountiful harvest, and the icy sparkle of Winter.

Husband-and-wife team Gil Shaham (2026–27 Houston Symphony Artist-in-Residence) and Adele Anthony dazzle in Bach’s intricate “Double” Violin Concerto, and a new work written specially for them, Avner Dorman’s A Time to Mourn and a Time to Dance.
