Seong-Jin Cho Plays Bartók

About This Concert

Seong-Jin Cho Plays Bartók will be performed live in Houston March 19–21, 2027 with the Houston Symphony at Jones Hall.

Following his sensational Houston Symphony debut in 2023, International Chopin Piano Competition winner Seong-Jin Cho makes his much-anticipated return to Jones Hall, performing Bartók’s virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 1.

Renowned Finnish conductor Osmo Vänskä—one of the world’s most distinguished interpreters of the music of Jean Sibelius—brings authentic voice to Sibelius’s Symphony No. 6, music as mystical and magical as the scent of first snow.

Missy Mazzoli’s Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres) is a mesmerizing sonic journey, surrounding the listener in a solar system of sound.
