Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 & Mozart

About This Concert

Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 & Mozart will be performed live in Houston June 4–6, 2027 with the Houston Symphony at Jones Hall.

Towering, theatrical, and absolutely epic: Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 hits like a bolt of sonic lightning, drawing us in from the hushed, eerie opening to the triumphant roar of a finale.

Music Director Juraj Valčuha and the Houston Symphony end the season in style with this monumental masterpiece, and Stefan Jackiw brings “talent that’s off the scale” (The Washington Post) to Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, Turkish.
