Nature’s Rhapsody Festival

For centuries, composers have turned to the natural world for inspiration. From the whisper of wind through trees to the energy of springtime and the grandeur of ancient landscapes, nature has inspired some of classical music's most vivid and imaginative works.

This February, the Houston Symphony invites you to experience the Nature Rhapsody Festival, a two-weekend celebration of music inspired by the beauty, power, and mystery of the natural world. Journey through the pine forests and fountains of Rome, wander through Spanish gardens at night, witness the awakening of spring, and experience some of the most colorful orchestral masterpieces ever written.

Across six performances on February 5–7 and February 19–21, discover how composers transformed the sights, sounds, and emotions of nature into unforgettable musical experiences.
