With great regret, the Houston Symphony has made the proactive decision to cancel the 2020 Symphony Ball, scheduled for May 16, 2020 at The Post Oak at Uptown Houston.
After consulting with Ball Chairs Rini and Edward Ziegler and the Executive Committee, we must sadly acknowledge that it will not be possible to stage this celebration in a way that ensures the health and safety of our patrons, our organization, and our community.
In lieu of a Ball table or tickets, we respectfully ask you make a gift to the Houston Symphony’s relief fund to help sustain the organization during this challenging time. This support is 100% tax deductible and helps the orchestra immensely at a time when we project a significant financial shortfall as a result of the closure through May 10.
We would like to thank this year’s creative, hardworking Ball Chairs, Rini and Edward Ziegler, and are very pleased that they have agreed to stay on to chair the 2021 Symphony Ball.
If you have questions, please contact Stacey Swift, director, special events at firstname.lastname@example.org. To make an additional gift to the relief fund, please see below.
Thank you for all you do for the Houston Symphony. We hope to see you at a Symphony event soon.
