What is your favorite Christmas song?
Traditional: “The Christmas Song.” Contemporary: “All I Want For Christmas Is You” (and no, I will not be singing this one…I firmly believe no one but Mariah should touch it!)
What’s the best Christmas gift you ever received?
My husband got me a necklace from Tiffany’s that has two little keys on it—one for each of our kids. I wear it every day.
What is your favorite Christmas movie?
The Muppet Christmas Carol—no question.
What’s one thing most people don’t realize about singing and acting professionally?
That we have to treat ourselves like athletes—it’s extremely physically demanding.
If you could go back in time and meet one person, who would it be?
Ella Fitzgerald.
What is your spirit animal?
Linda Belcher from Bob’s Burgers.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
The ability to stop toddler tantrums with my mind (I have a 3-year-old).
What is the last recording you listened to?
The Nightmare Before Christmas movie soundtrack is on repeat at our house (did I mention I have a 3-year-old?).
What is the last movie you enjoyed watching?
Ingrid Goes West.
What are you most proud of?
My family. Except sometimes when we go out to dinner (again, I have a 3-year-old).
What is your favorite place in the world?
Hawaii.
What is the last book you enjoyed reading?
The Handmaid’s Tale.
What is the last TV show you enjoyed watching?
Black–ish.
Name one person who inspires you.
Bernadette Peters—not only is she the best, professionally, but she’s also the kindest woman you’ll ever meet.
If you had a job in a different field, what would it be?
A chef. I love feeding people!
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a head room mom for my daughter’s class—my mother was certainly surprised to learn that!
If you were a musical key, what key would you be?
E major or E-flat major.
What is the natural tempo marking of your life?
Vivace—lively and brisk.
What’s one quality you look for in all your friends?
A great sense of humor.
If you could play an orchestral instrument, what instrument would you pick?
I’d definitely play the cello. Its sound is hauntingly beautiful, and I’d get a great workout carrying one around!
