The pandemic has required adjustments to many of our seating, ticketing, and concert-planning processes. We appreciate your patience and understanding with these temporary changes, which enable us to continue live performances while ensuring audience and musician safety. Should you have a question not answered below, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 713.224.7575.
Detailed programming for the 2021–22 Season will be announced later than usual as we work through ongoing challenges presented by the pandemic, including changing travel restrictions and social distancing impacts on repertoire. Once programming is announced, if you wish to attend a performance not included in your package, simply contact us for exchange options.
Important seating notes
The safety of our audience is our top priority, and we anticipate that part of the 2021–22 Season may include socially distanced seating. Because distancing significantly limits the number of seats in Jones Hall, you may not be in your typical seats throughout this period if you are a renewing subscriber. We will make every effort to seat you as close to your original location as possible, and renewing subscribers’ seat placement will have priority over new subscribers. The seat(s) to which you subscribed last season are being held for you, and subscribing to the 2021–22 Season guarantees that they remain on hold. You will be moved back to your original seats as soon as it is deemed safe to do so. Should you have a question not answered below, please contact the Houston Symphony Patron Services Center at email@example.com or 713.224.7575, Monday–Saturday, 12–6 p.m.

Why isn’t full programming included in my brochure?
Full programming will be announced later than normal as we continue to work through challenges presented by the pandemic, including ever-changing travel restrictions and the impact of potential social distancing on repertoire. Programs for the first few months of the season may be announced on a concert-by-concert basis. Subscribers will be updated via email as soon as programs are confirmed. You can still plan ahead with your package dates in the brochure.
Can I exchange tickets once programming is announced or if my schedule changes?
Yes, simply contact us at 713.224.7575 for exchange options.
Will 2021–22 Season seating be socially distanced?
At this time, we’re uncertain to what extent distancing will be necessary in the 2021–22 Season. We continue to work closely with experts at Houston Methodist on all health and safety protocols, along with closely following recommendations from local, state, and national officials.
If distancing is necessary, where will I be seated?
Due to significantly reduced seats as a result of distancing, we cannot guarantee that you’ll be seated in the seats and area to which you’re accustomed; however, we will make every effort to seat you as close to your original location as possible. Please note that seating location may vary from performance to performance, and that tickets may be mailed on a concert-by-concert basis. Should distancing be necessary, renewing subscribers will be seated before all other patrons as long your order is received by April 24, with emphasis placed on full-season package holders (Classical 18 and POPS 9), length of tenure, and donation status.
Are my original subscription seats still reserved?
Your original subscription seats are still reserved for you, and renewing to the 2021–22 Season ensures that they stay reserved. You will be moved back to your original location as soon as it’s safe to do so.
I’m also a Family Series subscriber—when can I renew that series?
We anticipate sharing Family Series programming over the summer. All current subscribers will be notified when Family Series subscriptions are on sale.
How can I help the Symphony?
Due to concert cancelations and seating restrictions, the Symphony has lost over $10 million as a result of the pandemic. Renewing your subscription is a tremendously helpful step to the Houston Symphony, providing critical revenue at a time of significantly reduced single ticket sales. Your renewal form also includes space for an optional extra donation, and we greatly appreciate all who choose to donate beyond the amount of their subscription. Thank you!
